BALLOON

Balloon, balloon,
I love you balloon
whenever you float
I seem to swoon

You flitter and fly
way up in the sky
I wish I could join you
up there so high

I tap you with my finger
you start to linger
around and around
then down to the ground

Balloon, balloon,
I love you balloon!

Sound of Music

.....The Hills are alive with the sound of music.......

What a great movie! We watched 'The Sound of Music' this past week, I have forgotten how awesome that movie is! The whole week I have been singing all of the songs, I also remembered that we own the soundtrack! So if you haven't watched 'The Sound of Music' in a loooooooong time, I suggest to you WATCH IT!!!!

Here are some lyrics to a wonderful song off of 'The Sound of the Music'

Edelweiss (you prounounce it a-del-vise)

Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white, clean and bright
You look happy to meet me

Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever

Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever

Now, I must say.....

There's a sad sort of clanging
From the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too,
And up in the nurs'ry an absurd little bird
Is popping out to say "coocoo".

Regretfully they tell us,
But firmly they compel us
To say goodby to you.

So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, good night,
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight.
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, adieu,
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu

So long, farewell, Au'voir, auf wiedersehn,
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, goodbye,
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye,
Good bye

I'm glad to go,
I cannot tell a lie.
I flit, I float,
I fleetly flee, I fly

The sun has gone to bed and so must I
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye!

GOOD BYE!!HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!!!

Frustrating Closet

Here are all my thoughts on my closet: Do you ever have the feeling, when you clean out something, of finding things that you have been looking for, and finding more and more? Well, I got that feeling today. I cleaned out my closet, which I find myself doing ever so much. You know, "Oh I found my shirt, there's that other shoe, now that's where those earrings have been, there's that lotion!!!" **I'm feeling fine about it** I didn't get so much of that feeling, since my closet wasn't THAT bad. **Getting a little frustrated, but still I'm fine**
You see, last summer we realized that I was growing out of my hutch of a closet, also considering that I could barely stand in it (now I have to crouch),we decided to find me a new closet. I emptied out a hall closet and put the articles of clothing into an armoire that we had just renewed for a summer live-in (she was gone by this time). I decided to paint the Closet baby blue and light yellow. We did so, and re-located the shelves and put in my chest of drawers, and my clothes (of course). I kept it clean for a few months but then it started to pile up, so I cleaned it, again and again. **Frustrated** I (for the millionth time) took the vow to keep my closet clean TODAY! **UGH!** I'm tired of having to clean it out. **Here it comes** If I just take 5 minutes every day to tidy up my closet, or if I simply hang or fold the clothes I'm thru with (or put it in the dirty clothes hamper) I could keep my closet straight!!!!!!!!UGH!!! **Pulling out hair, taking a sledge hammer to the wall, BIG MESS**
***Cools Down***
Here are some really cute quotes I put on the walls of my closet:

Is fashion important:
Well, my dear, you do have to get dressed.
~Carrie Donovan

A well designed purse, like a good Louis XV desk,
should have a multitude of secret compartments.
~Amy Fine Collins

My Favorite:

Shoes are the most
important accessory because
they carry all the weight.

Greek Festival

Please forgive me! I forgot to write a post on the Greek Festival of 2005! Chelsea came down last weekend, b/c her father and brother were going to a UAB football game. So, unfortunately, I had her all weekend (ugh! J/k). For Saturday night, my mom and dad went to a high school reunion. My brother and sister, went to a friends house. So, Chelsea and I had nothing to do. Until, my uncle called us to see if we would like to come with him to a Greek Festival (he loves ethnic food, Italian, Greek, Thai, EVERYTHING!). Of course, we said yes. When we got there there were at LEAST, 2,000 people. But, luckily we didn't wait in line for long. Chelsea and I split a plate, a lamb gyro, and a Greek salad, hit the very spot (at least for me it did). It took us a long time to find a place to sit, but we finally found one. It was crowded, loud, music playing really loud, thumps from the feet of the dancers, IT WAS GREAT! The dancers (boys and girls) were in Greek costumes, and danced Greek dances (duh) and looks AWESOME! May I add, they had the festival in... a Parking deck! We went to the next level (it was inside some building attached to the parking deck)and looked at all the items they had for sale, jewelry, scarves, pillow cases, dresses, wooden cooking utensils etc.

It turned out to be a truly inviting/interesting festival!

Graham vs. Hot Dog Part I

Graham vs. Hot Dog
Graham Won!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Graham.
There will {hopefully} be a Part II, but only if I can find the other picture that I would like to use.
{WE HAVE 2 MANY PICTURES! [no, I take that back, you can never have 2 many pictures, I'm sure you agree with that, Queen]}

P.S. Laugh, Queen Shenaynay, you know it's funny!

The Choice

by Rudyard Kipling

The American Spirit Speaks:

To the Judge of Right and Wrong
With Whom fulfillment lies
Our purpose and our power belong,
Our faith and sacrifice.

Let Freedom's land rejoice!
Our ancient bonds are riven;
Once more to use the eternal choice
Of good or ill is given.

Not at a little cost,
Hardly by prayer or tears,
Shall we recover the road we lost
In the drugged and doubting years
.

But after the fires and the wrath,
But after searching and pain,
His mercy opens us a path
To live with ourselves again.

The Gates of Death rejoice!
We see and hold the good --
Bear witness, Earth, we have made our choice

Then praise the Lord Most High
Whose Strength hath saved us whole,
Who bade us choose that the Flesh should die
And not the living Soul!
